Meridian Brothers

Acclaimed Colombian indie group Meridian Brothers announces their new album with the single "En el Caribe estoy triste." This is their first release since the breakthrough album 'El Grupo Renacimiento' which was featured in the NY Times and The Guardian as well as with live sessions at NPR Tiny Desk Concert and KEXP.
The new album 'Mi Latinoamérica Sufre' explores the influence of African highlife and Congolese soukous on the Caribbean coastal sounds of Colombian picó sound systems.

The new single "En el Caribe estoy triste" is deeply intertwined with the captivating rhythms of soukous merging seamlessly with coastal Colombian champeta. The song features a guitar-driven sound with catchy riffs and lively notes, evoking the vibrant atmosphere of the Afro-Caribbean coast.

The group plays the Market Hotel on May 11, and watch for them at Celebrate Brooklyn in July!
